Wanting to learn all about internet marketing, email marketing and affiliate marketing? I suggest that you join some facebook groups on the subjects and then you will receive ‘advertising’ as part of your news feed. Then you need to join every list, get every free book or report offered and attend some webinars. The first trick though is to get your creditcard and put it out of temptation. Freeze it if you need to!!!
You will soon discover that there are heaps of people all selling this week’s ‘great idea” – be it getting an email list, or promoting a book or seminar, or perhaps selling an idea to a business outside of the internet. If you don’t take up the option this week, they will try something else next week. I was watching a free seminar and the presenter was showing how to market to a list. This includes upsells, downsells, crosssells and any other sell you can think of. The larger ticket items are the seminars and courses available. Most webinars are designed to sell you a particular software or course. However, they often give you some general tips that are helpful to a newbee.
When I first started looking at Amazon as a means of selling products I joined every Amazon list I could on facebook, followed similar people on twitter and lately have included Google+ to my list. Of course, I have extended my criteria to include all types of internet marketing. This is how I found Reliable.Education (affiliate link) and decided that this was the course that I would unfreeze my credit card for. Many others had some useful tools that I got such as the Jungle Scout chrome extension but most were too expensive to justify joining to get some extra information. Maybe at a later date, I will perhaps consider joining so that I can continue to learn this industry, but for now I will just keep trying to source every piece of free information I can get my hands on.
My thought process on most of these products is that if I was earning $10,000 a month or more on Amazon – I wouldn’t be selling a course, or doing seminars every couple of days – I would be out enjoying the proceeds of my earnings. Wouldn’t you? Whilst there are some programs that I recommend as they offer the basics of education and business building, I recommend that you take your time learning, maybe get a website up and running then see what you need. Don’t be too quick to join every new you beut way to make money.
In order to get my website built I chose Wealthy Affiliate and will be using this to rebuild my bricks and mortar website as the one I paid good money for whilst is fine for now – costs money everytime I want to make some structural changes. At least with a wordpress website which Wealthy Affiliate is an education website for, I can just get a free plug in to make the changes I need. Today for example, I added a ‘contact me’ page to my website. It took a whole 5 minutes to learn how and apply the training. So easy. Here is an affiliate link to how to build a website in 30 seconds. I trust it will help you understand what this site is all about. Just sign up for a free account, no obligation and have a look around.
