My Personal Goals- Appearance
If I look good and feel confident I will present myself well to others. For my current business I feel I need to present a confident and casual persona yet look professional. This relates to both personal and business presentation. For dealing with overseas manufacturers, I feel this will give them the confidence to trade with me. So my personal goals include:-
Hair – I need to be neat and tidy with regular treatments.
Nails – instead of chipped and broken, I need to get professional nails filled monthly.
Jewellery – I need to start wearing necklaces and earings to match. My wedding & engagement rings need to be pulled out of the cupboard and worn. I need an elegant watch. This will present the image of someone who takes pride in appearance.
Shoes – again clean and tidy. Runners or casual slip ons are fine for the workplace, however have to consider the appearance and no holes.
Eyebrows – shape and wax more regularly. Legs need regular shaving….
Clothing – Clean, tidy and neat. Need to start ironing more items and throw ‘old house’ clothes more regularly. Even when not at workplace, I may be interacting with potential customers.
Work uniform needs upgrading regularly to present professional image. Caps, jumpers, shirts all need business logo.
Motor Vehicles – whilst not sign-written, we meet customers in them so need to ensure that they are cleaned regularly and paintwork touched up regularly.
Expression – I need to practice my smile, stance, graceful movements etc in the mirror. Again so I always look confident, happy and professional.
Makeup – I need to start wearing makeup and practice with different shades and colours for the different seasons and to match the clothing worn.
Skincare – whilst young I was more pedantic about taking care of my skin. I need to revisit this attitude and keep skin moist and clear of blackheads.
Stylist – I aim to find a stylist and get professional help with hair, makeup and colour to suit body shape and skin tone.
Finances – As income increases I will have funds to achieve all this.
Hobbies & entertainment
I need to spend some more time enjoying my hobbies and try to find ways to make income from them. This could be by starting more websites, writing books or turning raw materials into sellable products. This in particular relates to gold and gem prospecting. To further this goal, I need to find some lapidary clubs to join and learn about.
Other hobbies include Fishing & Hunter Gathering. Himself eats fish and other seafood but I enjoy the catch.
Gambling is something I love and I aim one day to make it to Vegas. Of course, I do severely limit my time and money spend on this hobby. No point having a hobby send you to the wall….
I need to spend more time discovering where I can participate in my hobbies and then travelling to these spots across Australia and add them to my blog website.
Family & spouse
I need to find more time to visit with family and friends. My aim with my online businesses is to free up my travel time back and forward and have more stops to ‘smell the roses’. This will mean I can spend time with family and friends across Australia yet still travel. Just a lot slower.
Relationship – although healthy & strong marriage, I get frustrated and always feel inferior. Arguing gets me down. My relationship with myself if not the greatest.
More leisure and more money will mean more time for hobbies and getaways. Resorts and Spas mean more intimacy. Keep Himself happy… and ME.
Socialise more with strangers. I tend to shy away and come play on the computer. Need to keep a perspective.
Living in a small area calls for a lot less clutter and ‘stuff’. I need to have a good sort through, throw out, and find a place for everything. If there isn’t a place for it then it has to go….
This will lead to less despair and a more tidy environment. Sometimes clutter is so hard to clean around.
I need to stop being lazy and letting things build up. This will be part of the all new ME
We currently travel everywhere but see little except the main street as we drive by. I aim to play tourist occasionally and photograph more. See the sights and write about them. I have set up my travel website to tackle this goal.
Travel overseas – as I build an Amazon private label business I intend to travel overseas to source suppliers and products as well as attend seminars, conferences and trade fairs across the world. Money is my biggest hold up here but plan to put money made from websites to good use.
Finances & debt
Aim to be debt free. In the short term we are using credit cards to fund stock purchases for exiting business as well as research into the Amazon & Affiliate businesses. This includes courses, books and some websites and products that just can’t be sourced free. However, I try to choose the cheaper option.
Cashflow, need to continually work a cashflow budget to plan future payments so money is available when due. A calendar is a vital part of this and can be downloaded free online.
As we age, we will need to rely more on our online business and other income streams, so need to keep on top of expenses generally and live a simple yet fulfilling life.
Health & Fitness
This is the big one. I need to loose weight and firm up. Need to actually exercise properly at the gym.
Fitness. Gym is helping me get my fitness up, however I actually need to go and do some weights. Just joining doesn’t seem to help, nor does spending half the time of the treadmill. Need to work on 3 days per week for one hour. Reducing work load will help, as will less distance between work presentations.
Eczema. Something that has just reared it’s ugly head. Need to keep on top of this by keeping skin moist and using less soap.
Blood Pressure – exercise and lowering weight will help. Working on reducing the need for medication . More plain food said to help, so will try.
Sleep – oh for a night when I don’t wake up again & again. Need to try not to go to bed too early. Then again, I tend to go back to sleep around 6am and don’t want to get up. Need to get a sleep pattern happening. ‘sleep school’…
Weight loss. As above need to work towards low sugar and low flour high protein diet. Simple foods to help blood pressure. Easy said, hard to do. Drink more water. Hmmm less scotch or scotch with water instead of coke…..
fat burners – try to incorporate more almonds, apple, avocado, cucumber, leafy greens, beans, watermelon, grapes, strawberry, cabbage, broccoli, tomato, spinach, peas, eggs oats.
Plus more eggs & yoghurt
Time management and My online presence
I aim to have a successful blog, newsletter, and websites to help promote income streams and send traffic to my other businesses and those of my business associates. I aim to write books to sell on Amazon relevant to these websites as well.
I want an online presence through both these websites and social media and continue to learn about all things web and engage in technology to share my finds with people.
I want to learn more about my hobbies and things that are relevant to my lifestyle and share my finds with others
I am in the process of writing up all my notes from the past 30 odd years and putting them into a format that makes sense as they relate to my websites and posts. They need to be in some sort of order. As part of my time management I need to set aside 3 hours per day to just work on this.
Amazon. By working on an Amazon product label business my goal is to have an income stream that only relies on re-ordering product. This can be expanded to other e-commerce sites and use affiliate and other marketing to drive traffic to my Amazon products. I need to constantly refer to and rework the Reliable Education training course . It is a fantastic course and I need to continue to follow it’s teachings and not get greedy for results.
As I am setting up my websites, I need to spend 1 hour per day to concentrate on putting some data on them regularly so that search engine spiders find them. This should also let me get some data ready to go for those days when I am working 12 hours or away from internet access.
I need to find 1-2 hours per day three days a week for gym, and the other four days can be spent on my other goals such as de-cluttering and keeping my space clean.
I will have about 1 hour per day to spend on my current business, updating the website to make more presentable, marketing research and working on presentation in general.
When working, this means spending my evenings online.
As I can travel sometimes for 6 – 10 hours a day as passenger, I will utilise this time to read books and articles I find that I will put on my tablet. I will spend 1 hours a day continuing my research into current ideas for online income streams.
When not working or travelling, I will be able to double the above times (except for the gym) and this still leaves about 4-6 hours to spend on my training websites course Wealthy Affiliate, which teaches how to set up websites properly from scratch and gives access to free domains as well as your own domains. This course has helped me set up this blog and do a website for my Amazon company. I will add more websites as I grow my online businesses.
I will also have time to continually work through the Reliable Education training so that I continue on my Amazon journey.
Mindset – make time, no excuses. Work out what will make a difference. Set up routines.
They say women can multi-task. I certainly have a whole heap on my plate. I am also doing other courses to help with knowledge of online marketing. I will tell you about these as I start to work my way through them. I aim to help you not overload you with courses to follow. I have plenty of time at the moment but realise that no everyone else does.
